Bullseye

I was running errands the other day, some of which had to be accomplished at Target. I didn’t even glance at the clothing section because I was on a mission and know I can’t buy anything anyway. But on my way to the register, being a bit of a shoe homing pigeon, my eyes were caught by a bright pair of pumps and I stopped dead in my tracks, arms barely wrapped around my household products. Next thing I knew, I was hoarding pairs of things like I was headed for the ark, toilet tissue now forgotten, chapstick rolling into the aisle.

I have always loved Target. They have been stepping up their game for YEARS. This is a place where I have seen really great design at prices that don’t trigger thoughts of robbing a bank. (As I say this, I’m not sure how Target is doing in the men’s department. I will explore that area and let yinz know). They are a great place to try a trend before spending loads of money on the original. In fact, owning Target’s what I called ‘TRYE‘ boots (which were AWESOME, by the by) is how I came to decide to purchase the Fryes.

ANYHOODLE, I was so very impressed by what I saw, I thought I would try on some of my faves, snap a few photos and hope that one of you would get them and tell me how much you love them. Which, in retrospect, sounds mildly fetishistic… No matter! Anyway, here’s what made me forget the toothpaste:

These make visions of sugar plums dance in my head.

I want these in my life and on my hooves! Why wouldn’t I?!

Why would I, a reasonable person might ask, tempt the beast when I am not allowed to purchase anything for myself right now? Why even try anything on? Well, I argue, just because I’m not allowed to eat at the restaurant doesn’t mean I can’t look at the menu, right? I still want to keep abreast of fashion trends and I enjoy the experience of looking through a rack and of trying things on. So that is why I will be dedicating this category– Window Shopping– to my fave finds in real windows as well as online ones. And if someone snaps one of my faves up and loves it as much as I know I would, all the better, I say!
